New Track — New Opportunities


The Phil Wicks Driving Academy is returning to Florida at a new track near the Orlando International Airport — Central Florida Racing Complex. The full Phil Wicks Driving Academy curriculum will be offered which includes professional in-car instruction with a professional instructor alternating with classroom instruction. This is an opportunity for you to hone your driving skills and realize the capability of your car in a safe and controlled environment.

We are also running a Race Accreditation School for participants of the annual Fireball Run, a road rally/race across America, in a separate run group. AND a track day for regular track day participants in all makes and models of cars. The cost is $150 per person which includes: one in-car instruction and evaluation, all classroom sessions, and afternoon Solo I Autocross Time Trials session. Additional in-car instruction sessions can be purchased for $25 per session.

Phil Wicks has been racing and instructing for over 50 years. He raced professionally throughout Europe and the UK. And he has designed a curriculum that allows the driver to experience the features and capabilities of their car while having a lot of fun and learning new skills.

The event is on Sunday, August 29, 2010. A host hotel has been arranged — The Sleep Inn at 1700 McCoy Road, Orlando FL. A special rate for Phil Wicks Driving Academy attendees has been negotiated — $64.00 per night. But you must identify yourself as a Phil Wicks Driving Academy student.

Ferman MINI of Tampa Bayis a contributing sponsor for the event. There will be a “Meet and Greet” social reception on Saturday night at the hotel, sponsored by Ferman MINI. There will also be a dutch treat dinner available and a brief presentation on what to expect at the track the following day.
